Data Deletion Request
This is an English translation of the Japanese original. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.
You can request deletion of data collected by the FaceSeal app (developer: END (@aiandrox)) as follows. The app has no user accounts, so requests are accepted by email.
How to request deletion
- Open the app's menu and tap “Contact & bug reports.” This creates an email that includes the ID number issued by the app.
- Add “Data deletion request” to the subject or body, and send it to face-seal@aiandrox.com.
- Within 30 days of receiving your request, we delete the data listed below and let you know by email.
App usage and error data is managed by this ID number, without being linked to your name or email address. If you don't know your ID number (for example, after deleting the app), we may be unable to identify and delete your data.
Data that is deleted
- App usage data (Google Firebase Analytics): records of screens viewed and actions taken, linked to your ID number.
- Support inquiries: emails you sent us before the deletion request.
Data deleted after a set period, regardless of requests
The following data can't be deleted individually, so it can't be deleted right away upon request. It is deleted automatically after the period shown.
- Error data (Google Firebase Crashlytics): 90 days
- Relay server logs from looking up icons by social media handle: 30 days
Data that is kept
- Your deletion request email: kept for one year after the request is completed as a record, then deleted.
- Per-installation identifiers (Firebase Installations): stored according to Firebase's specifications, and deleted within 180 days after the deletion process.
- In-app purchase data (RevenueCat; App Store version only): purchase records aren't linked to your ID number, so we can't identify and delete your records. They are kept by RevenueCat for as long as needed to restore purchases.
- Ad delivery data (Google AdMob): we don't hold this data; Google handles it under its own privacy policy and retention periods. On Android, you can delete or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
Data on your device
Recently used handles, fetched icons, text icons you made, app settings, and your ID number are stored only on your device, and are erased when you delete the app. Photos, face images, and data describing facial features are never sent off your device in the first place.
For details, see our Privacy Policy.
